I had a chance to photograph Marvin last night in a quick mini-session. He was great to work with!
It was also my first time using a Nikon D750 and the Nikkor 50m 1.8 lens. I was overall pleased with the results, though there were a couple of lost shots I wasn't able to capture as I figured out the specifics of the camera. Still, we got some nice photos and were both happy with how they came out!

I spent Friday afternoon on a fun photoshoot with Oumou. Oumou is an immigrant to California from Senegal and is working on launching her modeling career. She was great to work with and I'm sure has a bright modeling future ahead of her.
The location we chose was the lovely Morcom Rose Garden in Oakland. I hadn't been before, but was interested to check it out because a) it was free to go there, b) conveniently located for both of us, and c) had open outdoor spaces based on the photos I saw online. Even though the roses weren't in bloom, it being winter and all, the space was very nice. There were several good locations for taking unique photos, including a tall staircase, and beautiful multi-step fountain, and lots of other features. I'll definitely feel free to recommend it as a location again to clients, especially for shoots in the warmer months when the roses are in bloom! We had such a fun time taking engagement photos for Malia and Nick! Here are just a few of our favorites. We're also so excited for their big day in July!
